Monday – the Short Version

17 or more killed in ongoing violence in Iraq. More wounded. Two US soldiers killed. The US toll is now 2309.

But the AP asserted that it was a relatively quiet day, without a wave of revenge violence for the huge bombings in a Shia area of Baghdad on Sunday. The British government announced plans for withdrawing 800 of its troops, aboout ten per cent of its force there.

Memorials for Tom Fox continued. And there was no news of the three remaining CPT captives on Monday march 13. We say again: Let Them Go!

I'm very much afraid that the British (and American) collusion with the Israeli government in this morning's raid on the Jericho prison means that Norman Kember's chances for survival are now vanishingly small.
