Tom Fox Not Tortured?

More Civil War:
Guerrillas ... attacked the police headquarters and courthouse in Miqdadiya, about 100 km (60 miles) northeast of Baghdad, killing at least 22 policemen, police said. The gunmen released 33 prisoners in the attack on the police headquarters, police said.
BAGHDAD - Four bodies with bullet wounds were found in the Hay al-Jamaa district of Baghdad, police said.
BAQUBA - Two policemen were killed and one was wounded when a roadside bomb struck their patrol in Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
BAGHDAD - A U.S. soldier was killed by small arms fire while on patrol in western Baghdad, the military said.
Also from Reuters:
The United Nations expressed concern on Tuesday about the fate of 89 Palestinians, nearly half of them children, who fled Baghdad and have been stuck in no man's land since Sunday after Jordan closed its border. [...]

Hundreds of Iranian Kurds and Palestinians lived in no man's land for more than two years after the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. The camp was closed in May 2005, but UNHCR said Tuesday that some 200 Iranian Kurds remain on the Iraqi side of the no man's land, but were difficult to reach.

The latest tally of military and civilian deaths in Iraq includes 2,516 slain in the U.S.-led Coalition, and up to 37,832 Iraqi civilians with other estimates in excess of 100,000.

A Mennonite news service refuted earlier reports, reporting that Tom Fox's body showed no signs of torture when viewed by relatives and friends after arrival in the US and before his cremation. It should be noted, however, that like all media coverage of these events, this report could contain possible inaccuracies, and we await more definitive evidence.

There was no news on Tuesday of the three CPT peaceworkers held captive in Iraq since lat November.
